
Kathmandu, 23 September: Senior politician, literate and former member of the then Rajparishad passed away at the Norvic Hospital at 5.45 pm on Tuesday while undergoing treatment, according to Suresh Acharya, elder son of late Acharya.
Late Acharya was suffering from heart and kidney-related disease and undergoing treatment at the ICU of the Norvic Hospital.
Late Acharya had started his political journey from the communist party. Later, he supported the then Panchayat system and became a member of the “Back to the Village National Campaign”, president of the Nepal Youth Organisation and member of the Rajparishad.
Late Acharya was also involved in journalism for some period.
Late Acharya’s compilation of creative literary articles “Muktatma” and “Fusanko Jagma Silanyas” and a memoir “Je Dekhe Je Bhoge” have been published.
