Kathmandu, 28 September: Though, the leaders of Nepali Congress(NC) Ram Chandra Poudel and Krishna Prasad Sitaula have publicly opposed unilateral decisions of party President Sher Bahadur Deuba. To influence the upcoming 14th General Convention, Sitaula and Poudel have not been able to forge unity among themselves.
Sitaula is reported to have denied to backup Poudel, in his bid to register a protest letter with collective signatures of party leaders against Deuba’s unilateral moves in the party office. Sitaula has rejected to sign the protest letter prepared by Poudel.
Meanwhile, Sitaula has stated that he will make public his views without taking side of any leaders very soon. The internal dispute in NC has heightened as leaders have failed to forge consensus. As, Sitaula did not sign the protest letter, Poudel could not register it on Sunday.
