Kathmandu, 28 September: The National Democratic Alliance has claimed that the present constitution has already been failed to address contemporary problems faced by the nation.
At a press conference organised by the Alliance in Kathmandu, has thus demanded to scrap the present constitution by reviving the 1990 constitution with a constitutional monarchy and multiparty democracy.
A democracy with monarchy can only resolve the present crisis the country is facing, it is stated in a statement distributed at the press conference.
To return India occupied Kalapani territory and other international issues also, the 1990 constitution should be restored, the Alliance has remarked.
The present constitution doesn’t serve the nation’s interests as it has been imposed by the foreigners to fulfil their vested interests, it is stated in the statement.
Coordinator of the Alliance Kishori Mahoto said that the present republicanism has empowered partition syndicate undermining greater interests of the nation and welfare of citizens.
He said that the constitution has already been failed, therefore, there is no other alternative except developing an alliance with the monarchy and moving forward for nation-building.
He also explained that the monarchial rule has been proven successful in the country.
