Kathmandu,29 September: The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interim order not to implement the Public Procurement Monitoring Office’s(PPMO) decision to blacklist Omni Group.
A single bench of Justice Purushottam Bhandari handed down the interim order to remain in effect until October 8. The SC has summoned both the sides on the same day for discussion.
Following the contract to procure health supplies, Omni Group is accused of bringing in sub-standard medical supplies in high costs. After widespread protest, the PPMO had decided to blacklist the company for a year since September 14.
