Former Chief of the Army Staff, Gen Gadul Shumshere Rana has admitted in a controversial newspaper interview that the Army profits from its UN peace missions and the savings are invested in welfare schemes.
“The daily allowance, medical and clothing expenses and other expenditures for training and equipment are financed by the United Nation.”
“The government has not earmarked any money for such missions.”
