In response to a query on reports appeared in Indian and local media that China has constructed several buildings by encroaching Nepali soil in Nepal-China border at Lolungjong, near Lapcha in Humla district, the Chinese Embassy spokesperson in Kathmandu said that the buildings mentioned by the media have been verified to be on the Chinese side of the China-Nepal border.
The spokesperson further said that the Nepali side may make verification again. China and Nepal have no territorial disputes. The two sides have always maintained close communication on border affairs, the Embassy spokesperson said.
China and Nepal are friendly neighbours. China has always respected Nepal’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the spokesperson said.
