Kathmandu,27 September: The Upper Mai Hydropower Project, situated at Sandakpur Rural Municilpality in the Ilam district, has suspended the production of electricity following increasing risks of landslides in the area.
Owing to incessant rainfall since Monday the project has suspended power generation for now increased the chances of land subsidence in ward 4 of Sandakpur Municipality. The project has been producing 12 Mega Watt electricity for the past four years.
