RPP focuses on general convention


Kathmandu, 29 September: The recently unified three splinter groups of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party has focused its activities for an early national convention set for 8 to 10 May next year.
After the announcement of unification, the unified party had remained inactive for months. Recently, the three chairmen of the RPP have resolved the disputed issue of the election symbol.
Chairmen troika of the party, Kamal Thapa, Pashupati Shumsher Rana and Prakash Chandra Lohani have decided to keep “cow” election symbol of RPP in its flag and accept “plough” as the election symbol of the party.
Along with the end of the dispute of the election symbol, the party has decided to hold its general election.
