Kathmandu, 29 September: Opposing party president Sher Bahadur Deuba’s unilateral decisions, a rival faction of the Nepali Congress led by Ram Chandra Poudel has registered a protest letter against Deuba at the party’s central office.
The Poudel faction has demanded correction of the recent decisions such as formation of the departments and distributing active membership of the party by breaching the party statue and procedure by President Deuba.
The Poudel camp has demanded that the party should be run as per its statue and creation of conducive environment to convene the 14th general convention in a fair and impartial manner.
The protest letter signed by more than two dozen party office bearers including Poudel, General Secretary Shashank Koirala and Treasurer Sita Devi Yadav.
