Government to punish two notorious fertilizer suppliers

Kathmandu, 7 September: Two notorious businessmen who were found manipulating the government coffer by influencing senior political leaders are going to be punished.

Agriculture and Livestock Minister Ghanashyam Bhushal has said that the government is going to seize deposit worth 50 million rupees each of the Shailung Enterprises and Honika Multiple, who failed to meet the deadline for supplying fertilizer to the Krishi Samagri Company.

The government has decided to punish the suppliers following an acute shortage of fertilizer nationwide during the paddy plantation season.

The government has blacklisted the two companies owned by notorious businessmen Sharada Prasad Adhikari and Homnath Koirala. Adhikari is the house owner of NCP co-chair Pushpakamal Dahal. Koirala is known to be closed to the NC leaders.
