Efforts to hold Nepal-India bilateral talks

Kathmandu, 6 September: After the telephone conversation between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on 15 August, Indian independence day, concerned authorities from both the countries are making efforts to resume bilateral talks of different networking between the two countries.

On the Indian independence day, PM Oli had extended greetings to Modi. The conversation between Oli and Modi had ended no-talks relations between the two countries after the Indian side constructed road in Kalapani, Nepali territory.

Presently, the foreign ministry officials from both countries are doing homework to hold bilateral meetings of different networking established in the past. Nepal-India secretary-level networking, boundary working group and Nepal-India joint commission are the networking doing homework to resume their meetings. However, the meeting dates have not been confirmed, reports Annapurna Post daily.
