Kathmandu, 24 September: Against the hegemony performed by some businessmen in the media sector, the organization known as a club of big media investors, Nepal Media Society has witnessed a split.
An ad-hoc committee of the Media Alliance Nepal has been constituted under the leadership of Bhaskarraj Karnikar on Wednesday, in which, Mahendra Sherchan and Raju Kandel are the vice chairmen, Laxuman Humagain is the general secretary, Ujwal Sharma is the treasurer.
Bijaya Sharma, Rajendra Shakya, Rishi Dhamala, Sammridhi Gyawali are the members of the committee. Rameshwar Thapa and Binod Gyawali are the advisors of the newly constituted media organization.
