Kathmandu, 6 September: The nation is to witness a negative economic growth rate this fiscal year.
Releasing the Economic Account Statistic in June, the Department had stated that as the economic activities were affected by the coronavirus pandemic, the nation will have to satisfied with 2.28 per cent economic growth.
However, in the following months also, economic activities were serious hit by the pandemic, the Department has delayed releasing the Economic Account Statistic. According to an informal source in the Department, the economic growth rate is negative due to the pandemic.
