Kathmandu, 25 September: The Home Ministry has asked clarification to Humla district’s deputy chief district officer Dattaraj Hamal for speaking to the press on the sensitive issue of the Nepal-China boundary.
He has been asked to submit written clarification within 24 hours.
Hamal had visited Lapcha Valley recently. He, based on local people’s complaint, had reported to the CDO Chiranjeevi Giri on the construction of the buildings by the Chinese side in Nepali territory. He had also informed the press about what he had seen in Lapcha.
Reports on Chinese encroachment on Nepal-China border in Humla were appeared in media based on the reporting of Hamal, reports Naya Patrika daily.
