Kathmandu, 14 September: Present chief secretary Lokdarshan Regmi is going to get retirement on 20 October. On the other hand, the government has wished to promote foreign secretary Shankardas Bairagi to the post of the chief secretary. If Bairagi fails to get a promotion by 7 October, he will get compulsory retirement on 8 October. Therefore, the government is in a compulsion to make vacant the post of the chief secretary by the given time.
There is the possibility of making vacant the chief secretary’s post by that time with an assurance of rewarding chief secretary Regmi as the ambassador to the UK, reports Jana Aastha online.
