Kathmandu, 29 October: The country’s trade deficit has posted a double digit fall in the first three months of the current fiscal year 2020/21 compared to same period last year.
Trade deficit has dropped by 15.13 percent to Rs.261.22 billion in the first three months of the current fiscal year, according to the trade statistics of the Department of Customs,
The increase in export and significant fall in import has contributed to decreased trade deficit. Export increased by 14.28 percent while import dropped by 12.74 per cent during the period.
