Kathmandu, 31 October: Again, Prime Minister and ruling Nepal Communist Party chairman KP Sharma Oli and another chairman Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda are engaged in bitter relations. They have no talking relation since the issuance of separate directives by the two chairmen of the party to the chief minister of the Karnali Province.
When PM Oli sensed forging of a strong front against him in the party, on Tuesday, 27 October, he phoned to party’s senior leader Madhav Nepal and invited him for talks. Nepal immediately went to meet Oli. During the meeting, PM Oli proposed to Nepal to move forward together. When Nepal asked about the roadmap, Oli proposed Nepal as the next chairman of the party.
Oli is said to have spent most of the time by criticizing Dahal. Nepal, however, was unable to trust on Oli’s commitment and returned without giving any decision from his side.
When Oli didn’t receive any response from Nepal, he is frequently sending party’s second-generation leaders to convince Dahal. Until now, deputy chief of the parliamentarian party Subhas Nembang, finance minister Bishnu Poudel, chief ministers Shankar Poudel and Prithivi Subba Gurung to meet Dahal at his residence Khumaltar. But Dahal has shown reluctance in meeting with Oli, according to sources.
