Kathmandu, October 28
The Tatopani border point between Nepal and China that is closed for the past three weeks will reopen on Wednesday, claim officials.
Sindhupalchok’s Chief District Officer Umesh Kumar Dhakal says Chinese officials have informed that they will start sending consignments to the yard of Nepali customs office from today.
Dhakal says needful safety measures will be adopted to prevent the risk of coronavirus infection as much as possible.
Tatopani Customs Office Chief Lal Bahadur Khatri says a place has been marked as an isolated area where Chinese workers drop the consignments to picked by Nepali workers.
After the closure of around three weeks, the border point had reopened on October 5, to get shut on the second day due to the coronavirus infection in seven Nepali workers going to China to load consignments.
