Prachanda, Nepal factions planning to register no-confidence motion against Oli


Kathmandu, 30 November: Party’s co-chairman Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda and senior leader Madhav Nepal led factions in the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is planning to register a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister and party chairman KP Sharma Oli in the parliament, according to a source in the Oli camp.
Desh Sanchar online portal has reported that Oli’s opponents in the party are said to be secretly collecting signature of the members of parliament, the very source informed.
The source also informed that if the number will not be enough to endorse the motion from within the ruling party NCP, the opponent group is also planning to join hands with the NC MPs.
The source informed that Oli’s opponents have alleged Oli for being unsuccessful to run the party and the government, which has damaged the party’s image in the general public.
Oli’s opponents have alleged that he has violated the party standing committee directives, became unsuccessful to control Covid-19 pandemic, met with a foreign intelligence officer by sacrificing national interests, among others.
