Sit-in in at Birgunj demanding government to save doctor KC's life

Province 2, Parsa - #Governance, October-2, Friday. A sit-in and demonstration led by Jaspal Singh was held to pressurize government in Birgunj to fulfill the legitimate demands of Dr. Govinda KC, who is on the19th hunger strike, demanding improvement in medical education and health sectors. They staged a one-hour protest in front of Narayani Hospital in Birgunj from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. Participants in the demonstration carried banners and placards with slogans such as "Fulfill the demands of Dr. Govinda KC, save Dr. KC's life, tension the medical mafia, stop looting, and stop interfering in the authorities and stop partisanship." Protestors’ further state that the state should easily and simply guarantee the legitimate demands of the people in the health sector through negotiations.
