Kathmandu, 4 October: The Chinese side has agreed to unload goods imported from China on the Nepali territory. Earlier, the Chinese vehicles were unloading goods on the middle of the Friendship Bridge on the Nepal-China border in Rasuagadhi.
According to Punyabahadur Khadka, chief customs officer at Timure, Rasua, from today the Chinese vehicles will bring the goods up to the Nepali territory.
Five Chinese vehicles will arrive at once and unload goods on the marked area. After five minutes of return of the Chinese vehicles, Nepali vehicles can load the unloaded goods, he informed. After completing the goods loading process, the Chinese side will disinfect the area earlier to the arrival of the next lot of Chinese vehicles.
Such a provision has been introduced as a precaution against the Covid-19 infection, reports Naya Patrika daily.
