Kathmandu, 24 August: There is common thinking that India is a big labour market for the Nepalis and they bring a huge amount of money from India. The fact is that Nepal is an attractive market for the Indian labourers. The reality is that Indians are taking three times more remittance from Nepal than the remittance received from India.
According to the Bilateral Remittance Matrices study of the World Bank, in 2017, Nepal had received 102 billion rupees as remittance from India, whereas, Indians working in Nepal had taken away 302 billion rupees.
Out of 10 nations receiving remittance revenue by India, Nepal stands among the 8th country, reports Aarthik Abhiyan
