Covid-19 control commanders in isolation, NCP secretariat meet affected

Kathmandu, 29 August: The commanders of the committee formed to control and manage the Covid-19 Control and Management Committee (CCMC) have gone to isolation after one CCMC secretariat assistant was found Covid-19 positive.

DPM Ishwor Pokhrel, Home Minister Rambahadur Thapa, Health Minister Bhanubhakta Dhakal, Chief of Army Staff Gen Purnachandra Thapa, government officials have gone to the home isolation immediately after they came to know the Covid-19 positive on one staff at the CCMC secretariat at the Army camp in Chhauni, Kathmandu. They have given throat swab sample for PCR test and waiting for the report, reports Rajdhani daily.

Meanwhile, when two members of the NCP secretariat, Ishwor Pokhrel and Rambahadur Thapa are in home isolation, the secretariat meeting of the Nepal Communist Party scheduled for today has been postponed for 3 September.

The meeting of NCP chairmen duo Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Pushpakamal Dahal decided to postpone the meeting following rapidly spread of the pandemic in the country.
