Kathmandu, 24 August: From today, the food and vegetable markets will remain open till 9.15 am only in three districts in the Valley. The meeting of the chief district officers from three districts – Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur on 23 August has taken such a decision considering consumers’ complaint.
Shops related to food, vegetables, fruits, meat only remain open in the morning. However, medical stores, drinking water stores will remain open all the time, said Janakraj Dahal, Kathmandu CDO.
Since a rapid increase of the Covid-19 cases in the Valley, the three district offices have announced prohibition in the Valley suspending all kind of services.
Earlier, shops were allowed to open till 7 am only.
