Important bills remain impending after sudden end of parliament session
Kathmandu, 3 July: The budget session of the parliament ended Thursday evening following a sudden decision of the council of minister held on Thursday afternoon.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari, following the recommendation of the government, announced end of the ongoing parliament session from 5 pm Thursday evening.
Sudden end of the parliament session has left impending important bills from endorsement. They are, the citizenship law amendment bill, federal civil servicemen bill, formation of special service, among others. There are 19 bills under consideration of the parliament.
Similarly, after end of the ongoing session, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, 500 million US$ grant project has also become uncertain.
