Kathmandu, 28 July: Open border with India has become a serious threat for Nepal in spreading Covid-19 pandemic. India is at the vulnerable stage as Covid-19 pandemic has spread in the community. Nepal, although, has suspended all international flights, has not been able to stop people entering Nepal from India. Of late, those people who arrived from India are found carrying coronavirus from India to Nepal.
On Sunday, chief minister of the No 2 province, Mohammad Lalbabu Raut haled an emergency security meeting and asked the security personnel to beef-up security presence in Nepal-India borders controlling the arrival of people from India. It is believed that in some towns in No 2 province, the pandemic has started to spread in the community.
