Four killed in Baglung landslides, flood

Four persons died in different incidents of landslides and a flood caused by incessant rainfall in the Baglung district of Gandaki on Monday.

A landslide at Tamankhola rural municipality-2 killed two teenagers. As the house belonging to Pal Bahadur BK crumbled with the landslide, it killed Khima Bahadur BK, 13, and Rita BK, 12.

Police inform the landslide that occurred during the night also injured the mother of the teenagers, Hom Kumari BK. Efforts are underway to take her to a hospital for treatment. Pal Bahadur is abroad for employment, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rajendra Regmi.

Similarly, a house has been buried in a landslide at Nishikhola-1. It killed a five-year-old boy.

In another case, a body of a person, appearing in the early 60s, has been found on a stream at Nishikhola. The identity of the body is yet to be ascertained.
