India expanding encroachment in Upper Kauwa area in Darchula

Upper Kauwa area in Kalapani, West Nepal

A team of Armed Police Force deployed at Changrung Gaga BOP in Byas village, Kalapani in Darchula district, under the command of Inspector Lili Bahadur Chand, left to inspect the borderline between Nepal and India in Darchula district. However, they were stopped by the Indian border security force at the Upper Kauwa area and were unable to reach up to the Kalapani River.

The Indian border security force personnel stopped the Nepali force saying that there is the instruction from the centre for not allowing Nepalis to travel in the area.

Indians have constructed a wall one km below the origin of the Kalapani River and the temple, reports Rajdhani daily.
