Tussle in NC, Deuba warns Poudel faction leaders


Kathmandu, 31 July: Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba on Thursday has warned NC leaders in his opposition camp saying that he would not stop the party activities despite their opposition.
A group of NC leaders led by Ramchandra Poudel had reached the party headquarters to request Deuba for stopping activities influencing the party national convention.
A group of NC leaders led by senior leader Ramchandra Poudel had reached party headquarters in Sanepa along with a memorandum to stop all activities affecting the upcoming 14th national convention of the party and practicing rule of law.
Deuba, instead of responding to the demands of his rival group, had said, “Let you oppose, I am not going to be stopped!”
Deuba, after making public the working schedule for the 14th national convention, is constituting different departments and distributing active membership with the plan of influencing the vote.
Poudel, on Thursday, had submitted a five-point memorandum to Deuba.
Party’s general secretary Shashank Koirala, Minendra Rijal, Jeevan Pariyar, Sarita Prashain had reached the party headquarters along with Poudel, reports Naya Patrika daily.
