Kathmandu, 16 July: To end the ongoing dispute in the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), co-chairman Pushpakamal Dahal has put forward a nine-point proposal to Prime Minister and party chairman KP Sharma Oli.
Dahal extended the proposal to Oli on Wednesday’s one-on-one meeting.
Following Wednesday’s meeting, three supreme leaders of the party – Oli, Dahal, and Madhav Nepal are holding a meeting today, earlier to Friday’s standing committee meeting.
According to the Nagarik daily, the following are the proposals put forward to PM Oli:
- Oli should follow the party decision;
- The agreement inked during the time of the unification of the two parties should be implemented;
- The agreement held in the month Mangsir should be implemented;
- The decision taken on Bamdev Gautam should be endorsed;
- A new agreement can be endorsed to move forward;
- Madhav Nepal should not be cornered;
- Leaders may write ‘note of dissent’ on issues of dissatisfaction;
- A tripartite agreement should be endorsed;
- The present cabinet should be reshuffled.
