NC national convention likely to be postponed

Kathmandu, 17 August: Due to the alarming state of the Covid-19 outbreak, it has become almost impossible to conduct the 14th national convention of the Nepali Congress in April next year. Therefore, the NC leaders are holding informal discussions to postpone the national convention date until July or August next year, reports state.
Meanwhile, NC president Sher Bahadur Deuba is under pressure since his strong aide Bimalendra Nidhi started campaign to contest the election to the post of the party president.
