Cabinet reshuffle soon?

Kathmandu, 25 August: Finance Minister Yubraj Khatiwada will get automatic retirement if the President, under the recommendation of the government, will not nominate him to the post of the member of the upper house within the first week of September.
According to sources close to Baluatar, PM Oli is not in a mood to re-nominate him to the post of the upper house member. Therefore, it is assumed that there will be a new face to the post of the finance minister by the first week of September.
Coinciding the change of the finance minister, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli may change other ministers who have already completed two years in the government. However, their performance will be evaluated. PM Oli is under pressure to adjust leaders from his rival camps in the party also. If Oli will take positively the report of the six-member task force presented on Saturday, he will adjust names recommended by party co-chairman Pushpakamal Dahal and senior leader Madhav Nepal in his cabinet.
Moreover, Khatiwada may be rewarded with an ambassadorial post to Europe or the US, say sources.
