Kathmandu, 27 July: The Supreme Court has permitted to review its verdict on former DIG of the Armed Police Force.
The SC had given verdict to reduce the jail term of Koirala, convicted murderer of his wife Geeta. Following the SC verdict, Koirala was released from the jail recently, however, the verdict has been highly condemned by political leaders, legal experts, academicians, and youths.
Following the review petition registered by the Office of the Attorney General against the SC verdict of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana and justice Tej, Bahadur KC, the joint bench of Judges Barn Kumar Shrestha, Prakash Kumar Dnurigana and Kumar Regmi permitted to review on the verdict on Sunday.
