NCP deadlock continues: Today’s standing committee meeting uncertain

Kathmandu, 10 July: The standing committee meeting of the Nepal Communist Party has been called for 11 am today, yet, it is uncertain on whether the meeting will take place or not. Time and again, the meeting was postponed and called for today, however, as the dispute in the party continues, the meeting is being postponed time and again. The standing committee members, however, are preparing for the meeting.

After the demand for resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli from the post of the PM and party chairman, the party is facing a serious deadlock.

Oli has denied to tender resignation from both the posts, whereas, his rival camp is putting pressure on him to tender resignation.

The one-on-one meeting between Oli and another chairman Pushpakamal Dahal concluded without result on Wednesday.

The second generation leaders are putting pressure on the leadership for not splitting the party.

The Anti Oli front has warned Oli to take a party decision against him, whereas, the Oli camp has warned to split the party on that case.
