Government under pressure to change modality of lockdown
Kathmandu, 2 June: The government, after mounting pressure from all sides to seek alternate to the prolonged lockdown, has planned to change its modality likely from tomorrow.
The High-Level Coordination Committee to control and prevent Covid-19 is likely to take place today to change the modality as per the concerned experts’ advice.
The Cabinet meeting has already decided to continue lockdown till 14 June.
At the time of imposing lockdown, there were only two Covid-19 cases, the number has now jumped to nearly two thousand people, which has confirmed that lockdown alone is not the effective measure to control and prevent coronavirus.
