Ten more PCR labs in the offing

Kathmandu, 27 June : The Ministry of Health and Population is to establish 10 more laboratories in order to carry out test for Corona Virus through the Polymerase Chain Reaction method. The labs will be established in 10 different locations as an effort to expand the scope of Covid-19 tests.

The PCR labs will be set up in Mechi hospital, Dadeldhura hospital, Dailkeh hospital, National Ayurved Research and Training Centre, Kathmandu, Armed Police Hospital, Balambu, Palpa hospital, Dhaulagiri hospital, Dhankuta hospital, Nepal Police and Nepali Army hospitals in the capital. Presently, PCR test for Corona Virus takes place in 23 different laboratories across the country, according to the ministry.
