Nepalis pay land tax, Indians use the land

Kathmandu, 24 November: Last year Nepali land was encroached by shifting the border pillar in Chapkaiya 1 in Birgunj. The owner of the land, Rabindra Mahato Koiree paid the land tax of the India encroached land.

Koiree’a ancestors were owning the land and paying tax of the Kitta No. 14 and 18 to the Nepal government.  Koiree paid the tax of the recent fiscal year to the government. However, after shifting of the border pillars by the Indians, he has not been able to use the land, reports Rajdhani daily.
