NSU demands immediate release of students sans conditions

Kathmandu, 15 August : Nepal Students’ Union, a student wing of the main opposition party-Nepali Congress,  has demanded the release of its members arrested from Kathmandu and Birgunj. Issuing a statement  NSU president Rajiv Dhungana has said that the students arrested during peaceful protests should be released immediately and without any conditions.

The students in Birgunj were arrested while staging a peaceful protest calling for regular health services and just compensation for the families of those who lost members to Corona Virus. Likewise, the students in Kathmandu were arrested as they were going to put forth their demands before the rector of Tribhuvan University, according to the  statement.
