Drinking water from Melamchi still uncertain
Kathmandu, 26 June: The most controversial Melamchi Drinking Water Project is yet uncertain on when it can supply water to Kathmanduites.
Earlier, it was claimed that by June 30 remaining works of the Project would complete and experiment of the tunnel would be carried out.
Due to the technical reasons, experiment of the tunnel has been delayed.
The Project has said that after the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, 75 percent workers left the project and shortage of construction materials caused delay in completion of the Project works.
Minister for Drinking Water Bina Magar informed to the federal Parliament that soon remaining works of the project will be completed and experiment of the tunnel will be conducted.
