Dalit people assaulted by Mayor in Mahottari while seeking relief

Province 2, Mahottari, Bhangaha - #Dalit, #Governance, #Covid-19, Members of Dalit Musahar Community in Mahottari have accused the Mayor of Bhangaha Municipality, Sanjiv Sah, of beating them while demanding relief package. They have accused the mayor of denying support to those who did not vote for him in the election.Ramprita Sada of Bhangha Municipality-3 alleged that a group of a mob led by Mayor's brother Binod Sah beat him when he went to the mayor to ask for relief. He said he lost consciousness because of the beating and his friends picked him up and put tape on his ruptured ear. Meanwhile, Mayor of Bhangha Municipality Sanjiv Sah accused Nepal Communist Party and Nepali Congress cadres of spreading false rumours to discredit him and the party.
