40 thousand Covid-19 infected cases expected by 18 August
Kathmandu, 22 June: It is estimated that by 18 August this year, there will be 40 thousand Covid-19 infected cases in Nepal.
The Ministry for Health and Population, analyzing the present situation, has estimated such a number of infected cases in the country.
Easing lockdown, increasing number of people arriving from India, slow process of contact tracing are the main reasons to increase the infected cases in Nepal. Everyday above three thousand people are arriving from India at present.
Out of 40 thousand expected infection cases, two thousand is expected to be suffering from serious type of Covid-19 cases.
95 percent of Covid-19 positive cases have been identified on people arrived from India.
Already, above nine thousand people are identified with Covid-19 positive.
