Deuba distributing posts to please party workers

Kathmandu, 11 August: Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba has filled 668 party workers in different departments in the party central committee. Deuba has assigned party workers in different departments on Sunday night and Monday evening.
In accordance to the party statute, within six months of the national convention of the party, all the departments have to be constituted, however, Deuba, who was reluctant on giving final shape to the departments, has assigned party workers after the announcement of the next national convention.
Ramchandra Poudel, Deuba’s rival in the party, has opposed Deuba’s present act. Accordingly, Sekhar Koirala, NC leader, has said that the formation of the departments after publishing the working schedule of the national convention is a violation of the party statute.
