Kathmandu, 22 May: Following a strong resentment over India’s May 8 move of opening a link road via Lipulekh to China by Nepalis, New Delhi has halted export of palm oil from Nepal. Export of palm oil from Nepal has been obstructed since May 11.
Thirty-nine Nepali firms that were permitted to export palm oils by India five months ago has been suspended abruptly. New Delhi has directed concerned government authorities to suspend the export permission until detailed investigations, according to Kantipur daily.
