Kathmandu, 14 August: The government had spent 5.5 billion rupees for the purchase of vehicles last year. Accordingly, the government has allotted 6 billion rupees to purchase new vehicles this year. Unfortunately, the government has no budget to purchase ventilators essential for the treatment of serious Covid-19 patients.
The government has not shown interests to purchase ventilator when the number of Covid-19 positive cases are on the rise, reports Naya Patrika daily.
In the past seven months, the government has managed 80 ventilators. However, they were not purchased by the government but received from different donors.
