PANCHTHAR: As many as eight houses were gutted in a blaze in Phungling Bazaar, Taplejung district headquarters, on Friday night.
With the help of local residents, security personnel took the blaze under control at around 1:00 am.
Two houses were destroyed in order to take fire under control. Likewise, 11 shops at the bases of the houses that caught fire, also incurred huge loss, According to Taplejung’s Chief District Officer (CDO) Dorendra Niroula.
Although it is said that the fire started from an empty house at around 10:30 pm, it is yet to find the owner of the house and the cause of the blaze.
