Kathmandu, 10 December: The government is preparing to cease the Social Welfare Council and open new organ Social Development Council in seven provinces.
The Council is the organ monitoring INGOs and NGOs’ activities.
Along with ceasing of the Council, all works related to INGOs and NGOs will be looked after by the province governments.
The government is preparing to present a bill related to ceasing the Council and establishing province level Social Development Council, according to the Rajdhani daily.
