Government blacklists 332 construction companies

Kathmandu, 7 January: The government has blacklisted 332 construction companies and suppliers on the charge of not completing their contract projects timely.

The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) under the Prime Minister’s Office has taken such a decision against the construction companies occupying government projects for years without completing them on time by influencing powerful political leaders.

Of late, it has become a tradition of delaying construction projects by the construction contractors after receiving cash in advance and investing it in other profitable business including land in Kathmandu and urban areas.
