Yeti Group gets government land at free of cost in Taplejung

Kathmandu, 28 January: Yeti Group, a controversial business group, which is found exploiting government property, has been rewarded with 317 ropanis of land to use for 80 years at free of cost in Pathibhara, Taplejung.

The Group, after illegally capturing 50 ropanis of land belonging to the Sagarmatha National Park, has been able to acquire a big portion of land in Taplejung under the political influence.

The very group has been rewarded with 2792 ropanis of land in Gokarna on lease at almost free of cost.

The Group, which has got license to operate cable car at Pahibhara Temple, has also been rewarded with 317 ropanis of lad at free of cost, reports Naya Patrika daily.

With the plan of capturing the government land, Pushpa Barubaal was assigned as the chairman of the Pathivara Area Development Committee. Barubaal is the very person who was the personal secretary of the then home minister KP Sharma Oli in 1995.

Barubaal is also the board director in the cable car company of the Yeti Group.
