Ex PMs keeping huge number of security personnel

Kathmandu, 14 January: At a time when the security organs are facing shortage of security force, former prime ministers are found keeping huge number of security personnel for their personal security.

According to the government action plan developed by the Home Ministry, one ex PM can get nine security personnel, however, violating the government policy, ex PMs are found keeping huge number of security personal.

Ex PM Pushpakamal Dahal is found keeping 77 security personnel at his residence.

Accordingly, ex-PM Jhalanath Khanal has kept 19 security personnel; ex-PM Sher Bahadur Deuba has kept 38 security personnel; Madhavkumar Nepal has kept 17 security personnel; Baburam Bhattarai has kept 11 security personnel and Lokendra Bahadur Chand has kept 12 security personnel. Accordingly, ex-chairman of ministers’ council, Khilaraj Regmi has kept 10 security personnel, reports Rajdhani daily.
