Kathmandu, 9 January : In a bid to woo disgruntled faction, Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has invited district party presidents for a lunch meeting at his Budanilakantha residence today. Leaders close to Deuba say that he is in mood to reconcile and settle the contentious issues amicably.
Some 41 district presidents, who have held a series of meetings in Kathmandu alleging party President Deuba of taking unilateral decisions, are hopeful that the party leadership would address their demands.The meeting that ended yesterday decided to submit a memorandum to party President Deuba and leader Ram Chandra Poudel demanding unity and amity within the party.
